What the job involves

Panels are cleaned with a reach and wash pole system using purified water. No detergents, no abrasives and no walking on the array. Pure water dries without leaving the mineral spotting you get from tap water, so the glass stays clear rather than hazing over in a fortnight.

While I am up there I check for moss creeping in from the surrounding tiles and clear the debris that collects along the bottom edge of the frames, which is where growth usually starts. If your gutters are directly below the array, that fallout gets cleared too.

Most domestic arrays around the valley benefit from a clean once a year. Properties near trees, on farms, or with a lot of gulls about are usually worth doing every six months.
